Product Description
Woven with very fine strips of straw with brown ribbing across the top and middle. The middle is actually a "pocket". This tote is ornamented with a large gold sunflower on the bottom middle, 4 pink and 2 yellow "puffy" flowers, 6 turquoise tulips and some tiny "babys breath" flowers. Several shiny green leaves complete the floral pattern. Brown ribbing frames the whole purse on both sides. The closure is a brown "ribbon" that wraps around a wooden button or dowel.
Bag measures 12.25" High, 14.5" Long, 11" Deep and can expand to 3.5" Wide. The straw shoulder straps drop 13".
CONDITION: The outside of this tote is in excellent condition with no broken straw, tears or stains noted. The shoulder straps do show some unraveling in the middle of the inner sides where the seam is, but the straps are holding well. The inside plastic liner shows unraveling about 4" down from the top. The rest of the liner is holding strong.
I purchased this tote bag in Nassau during a cruise we took to the Bahamas in the 1980s. I used it only a couple of times and has been stored in a closet for a long time.
This bag will hold your wallet, car keys, cell phone, brush, sun screen, sun shades, makeup, swim suit and whatever other things you like to carry to the beach or just riding around.
